Meet our Staff

Mrs. Cristina Kelly 

Artistic Director/Dance & Tumble Instructor

Mrs. Cristina received her BFA with Honors in Dance Performance and Choreography with a minor in Business Administration from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2007. Cristina has also trained at Ballet Memphis with Stephanie Mei Hom and received her Elementary Certification in Labonotation from the Dance Notation Bureau in NY. 
Cristina has had the pleasure to work with guest artists such as Trebien Pollard of Pilobolus, Christal Brown of Urban Bush Women, Jon Rodriguez director of the Dayton Ohio Ballet, Coco Loupe of Coco Loupe Dance, Karola Luttringhaus of Alban Elved Dance Company, Danial Shapiro and Joanie Smith of Shapiro and Smith Dance Company, and many more. 

Cristina performed professionally with Caroline Calouche & Co. as well as with Martha Connerton/Kinetic Works Dance Company from 2007-2009.  She has performed in many different venues and concerts and has been a featured dancer of Opera Carolina's Romeo & Juliet and Aida.  In between performances, Cristina was a Teaching Artist for the Charlotte Dance Festival and Martha Connerton/Kinetic Works spreading dance to children ages 2-18 years old. In 2014, Cristina was invited to join the Hot Foot Honeys, the first and only professional tap company in Memphis, TN. She performed in their 2015 & 2017 Spring Concert.

After getting married in 2009, Mrs. Cristina moved back to her home town,  Southaven, MS, and taught various dance classes ranging from ballet, tap, modern/contemporary, jazz, hiphop, and competitive pom. With a vision to bring a higher level of dance to DeSoto County, Mrs. Cristina opened CK Dance Theatre in the summer of 2013. Since then CK has grown immensely! 

CK Dance Theatre started their first performance team for the 2014-2015 season, and not only did they win numerous overall awards for outstanding performances, the students were noticed for their teamwork, best of show, overall entertainment and many other awards that were given for great sportsmanship as a dancer as well. Mrs. Cristina emphasizes you need to be a dancer with good character and that is what CK Dance Theatre is all about. Bringing Glory to God through Dance. 

Mrs. Jamie Broadaway

Dance Instructor

Jamie Broadaway's 20+ years of dance experience include a dance minor from Belhaven University, training with Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Paul Taylor Dance Company and Ballet Memphis, among many others. Jamie has danced/choreographed with local groups such as Theatre Memphis, Collage Dance Collective, Germantown Community Theatre and Project:Motion Dance Collective. She is also an actress and voiceover artist with Colors Agency in Memphis. She has taught and performed physical theatre in Japan and India through Enclave of the Arts with a group called The Joshua Squad, based in Lewisville,Texas. Jamie has a great desire to share her passion for dance with others. To God be the glory!

Miss Janice McAfee

Dance Instructor

Miss Janice has been teaching dance for many many years. She is a member and board member of Southern Association of Dance Masters. She has owned her own dance studio and loves to teach dance. CK Dance Theatre is blessed to have such a talented teacher. 

Mrs. Beth Marshall

Tumble Instructor

Beth comes to us with years of competitive cheer experience along with a coaching career that began at age 19.  When not working for Watkins Uiberall, a CPA firm in Memphis, she is able to pursue her true passion as a Tumble Coach.

Beth has coached for numerous studios in the Mid-South area, but since 2014,  she found her home exclusively at CK Dance Theatre- where she has been teaching for the last 8 years! Besides her experience with tumble and gymnastics, Beth is also certified in CPR, First Aid, Strength & Injury Prevention, Intro into Preschool dance, and Acrobatic Arts. She, along with all of our teachers, is part of our Youth Protection and Advocacy in Dance program.

Mom to an awesome little dancer, she is passionate about helping children of all ages gain confidence and grow in tumble. Dedicated and committed to ensuring each student excels, while also championing them to achieve their greatest potential, Beth hopes to inspire true appreciation and love for tumble in her students.

Miss Hannah Bobo

Dance & Tumble Instructor

Mrs. Hannah began dancing on Center Hill High School’s championship pom and hip-hop team before becoming a student at the University of Memphis where she studied ballet, tap, jazz, modern, contemporary, and hip-hop for four years. During that time, she performed with the hip-hop/African fusion company-Out Loud Artistry, danced in local theatre shows, and coached two local middle school dance teams. In 2017, Mrs. Hannah graduated with a major in English and minor in dance and is looking forward to her seventh year of teaching at CK Dance Theatre. Mrs. Hannah loves CK’s core values of praising and honoring the Lord through dance, as our relationship with Jesus is the most important one we have. 

Mrs. Jennifer Hoffman

Dance and Tumble Instructor

Miss Jennifer is a native of Washington State, she has been teaching dance for over 13 years. Jennifer is graduate of San Jacinto College with a degree in Fine Arts, Dance. She also attended Cornish College of the Arts, Dance. Jennifer’s early training is in RAD, Royal Academy of Dance at British Dance Academy in the Seattle area. As a dancer she is trained in Ballet, tap, jazz, modern and contemporary. Prior to her return to dance she served in the Army and Coast Guard where she was an OR tech and Corpsman respectively.

Kaitlyn Crider

Dance & Tumble Instructor

Miss Kaitlyn has been dancing and cheering since she was 5 years old. She is a Southaven native and has lived here all of her life. She cheered on competitive teams such as Memphis Elite and Wildcats from 10-18 years old. During the day she is a teacher at Desoto Central Primary. Miss Kaitlyn loves working with children and enjoys helping them grow in life and dance/tumble. She can't wait to get to know each and every one of her littles in class.

Kayla Best

Dance & Tumble Instructor

Kayla comes to us with over 20 years of dance experience, 6 years of competitive cheerleading, 6 years of strength and conditioning with CrossFit, and has been a level 1 CrossFit coach for almost 2 years. She has a BFA in Communication with a minor in theatre. Kayla previously taught dance and tumbling in New Jersey for 5 years and is excited to share her passions with the CK Dance Theatre family!

Kristian Kelly

Studio Manager

Kristian has been involved with the musical arts since 1995. Since marrying Cristina in 2009, he has been actively involved in supporting Cristina's love and passion for dance. In 2013, Kristian became the Studio Manager and loves spreading the love of God through meeting and connecting with new families. 

Miss Rachel Doyle

Studio Assistant

Miss Rachel brings her experience both in the office and on the stage to CK Dance as a studio assistant. When Rachel is not greeting our families at the front desk,  she's utilizing her Bachelor's in Business Administration from Mississippi State University to assist CK behind the scenes.
Rachel is also a theatre kid at heart.  With several years of theatre experience to CK, including stage management, costume creation, and costume alteration, Rachel loves CK's core value of promoting creative expression.
