2023 Dance Camps for Boys & Girls!

Hip Hop & Tumble Camp

Session 1: June 27th - 29th

5:45pm-6:45pm (Entering 1st grade - 4th grade)
6:45pm-7:45pm (Entering 5th grade - 8th grade)

Boys & girls will have fun in this 3-day camp learning tumble skills and hip hop dance in this upbeat exciting class. In this camp, dance will experience clean music, age appropriate dance moves, and lots of fun as we work on skills and learn fun choreography.

Camp fee: $79 ($10 discount if signed up & paid before May 1st)

Ballet & Jazz Dance Camp: Moana

Session 2: July 11th-13th | 10:30a-12p (Entering 1st grade - 5th grade)

Boys & girls entering grades 1st - 5th will have fun in this 3-day camp creating the exciting story of "Moana". In this camp, dancers will learn the beautiful art of classical ballet and the fun, upbeat form of jazz. Through story-telling and dance, each camper will learn choreography depicting the storyline theme of the week. The camp will end with a studio performance.

Jazz Dance Camp

Session 2: July 11th-13th | 5:45pm-6:30pm (Entering 1st grade - 5th grade)

Boys & girls will have fun in this 3-day camp learning jazz dance in this upbeat exciting class. In this camp, dance will experience clean music, age appropriate dance moves, and lots of fun as we work on skills and learn fun choreography.

Hip Hop & Lyrical Dance Camp: Minions

Session 3: July 18th-20th | 10:30a-12p (Entering 1st grade - 5th grade)

Boys & girls entering grades 1st - 5th will have fun in this 3-day camp learning skills and choreography to the fun music from the minion movies. In this camp, dancers will learn the beautiful art of lyrical as well as the learn how to hip hop dance. The camp will end with a studio performance.

Ballet & Worship Dance

Session 3: July 18th-20th

• 5:45p-6:30p (entering 1st grade -3rd grade)

• 6:30p-7:30p (entering 4th grade - 6th grade)

• 7:30p-8:30p (entering 7th grade - Adult)

This class is designed to enhance the worship experience through ballet dancing. We will not only use our time to learn ballet, but also to draw closer to God as we study the lyrics to biblical songs and learn choreography to them. Whether you're a beginner or have taken dance before, this class will be uplifting emotionally, spiritually, and physically. This is an open level class for all different age groups and steps will be modified to make sure all levels have a great time.

Summer Sampler Camp

Session 4: July 25th-27th

Has your child ever wanted to try dance? Now's the chance! Try ALL the styles of dance CK has to offer in this fun 3-day camp. Dancers will explore different styles of dance such as: Ballet, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Jazz, and Tap while having fun learning and making new friends. *No Dance Shoes Required

Acro Dance & Hip Hop Tricks Camp

Session 4: July 25th-27th | 7:45p-8:45p

Level up your acro & hip hop tricks in this fun, fast-paced technique class designed for experienced boys and girls who have taken dance class before. In this camp, we will work on linking acro & hip hop skills with turns, leaps, and dance moves along with working on our flexibility, strength, and balance.

*This class is designed for those entering 4th grade or higher and also must have at least 3 years experience in dance & be in level 2.5 +

Tumble Trak Camp

Session 2: July 11th-13th

• 5p-5:45p (Beginner Levels 1-2) • 6:15p-7:15p (Int/Adv Levels 2.5+)

Come bounce on your tumble trak and level up your tumble skills. Where you are learning the basics or working on more advanced skills, tumblers will have fun in this exciting tumble class designed for boys and girls entering 1st grade and up. In this camp, we will work on level appropriate tumble skills and drills on the gymnastic floor as well as on the tumble trak. Which new skills will you gain this summer?

Tumble Skill Camp: Aerials & Handsprings

Level up your tumble skills in this skill specific 3-day camp. Experienced tumblers will have fun in this exciting tumble class designed for boys and girls to master aerials and handsprings. All tumblers will work on level appropriate aerial & handspring skills and drills on the gymnastic floor providing them with the knowledge & strength to gain these skills. Level up your tumble skills in this skill specific 3-day camp. Tumblers will have fun in this exciting tumble class designed for boys and girls to master limbers, bridges, and handstands. Tumble Skill Camp: Walkovers & Handstands

Session 3: July 18th-20th | 6:15p-7p (Intermediate: Level 2+)

Level up your tumble skills in this skill specific 3-day camp. Tumblers will have fun in this exciting tumble class designed for boys and girls to master front & back walkovers, one-handed skills and handstands. All tumblers will work on level appropriate skills and drills on the gymnastic floor providing them with the knowledge & strength to gain these skills. Which new skills will you gain this summer?

Session 3: July 18th-20th | 7p-8p (Advanced: Level 4+)

All tumblers will work on level appropriate skills and drills on the gymnastic floor providing them with the knowledge & strength to gain these skills. Which new skills will you gain this summer?

Ninja Warrior Tumble Camp

Session 4: July 25th-27th

• 5p-5:45p (Entering 1st gr-4th) • 6:15p-7:15p (Entering 5th grade and up)

Do you love obstacle courses and challenges?! Tumblers will have fun in this exciting ninja warrior themed tumble class designed for boys and girls to work on tumble skills as well as use them to complete timed courses. All tumblers will work on level appropriate skills and drills on the gymnastic floor according to their level.

*If weather is nice, tumblers might go outside for warm ups and field day like obstacle courses.

Frequently asked questions...

1. What does my child need to wear?

• We do not have a specific dress code for our Summer Session. If you want to come in dance apparel, that will be fine, of course. Otherwise, come dressed in theme or whatever your child will be comfortable wearing. Our only ask is to NOT have bellies showing and if they wear shorts, to not be too short. If you have a little dancer in a themed class (ex. Princess, Toy Story, etc...) they can come dressed like a character. Many times this means they will wear a dress. This is okay as long as they have shorts or leggings underneath their dress.

2. Do I need specific shoes for my class?

• No, specific dance shoes are not required for your class. If you have dance shoes, we recommend wearing them. If you do not, please wear socks. If you are taking a tap class, we will have some used shoes to borrow. If we do not have your size, you can wear dress shoes with a slick bottom or go in socks.

3. When do I need to pay?

• To reserve your placement in class, you must pay in full within 3 days of signing up. After 3 days, if payment is not received your student will be removed and placed on the waitlist of that class.

4. Why do I have a membership fee?

• To take class at CK, we required everyone to purchase a yearly membership. This membership fee helps CK provide the best learning experience for your student by allowing us to go above and beyond in the classroom with props, mats, and other fun learning tools, as well as, making sure our staff members are constantly learning and growing not only in their dance & tumble skills but safety as well.

5. When do I arrive for my 1st class?

• Please arrive around 10-15 minutes early for your first class and check in with the front desk. Make sure your student is fully dressed and ready for class. For little ones please use the restroom before class. We have 4 restrooms located within the building, one in the lobby and 3 other restrooms inside our classrooms. If there is a long line at our lobby restroom, please ask the front desk if you may use a restroom inside one of our classrooms.

6. Can I watch my student take class?

• Once all payments have been received and you have checked in at the front desk, you will receive a Zoom code to watch classes live via using your own device the day of your class.

7. What health precautions does CK follow?

• CK is open fully without restrictions, however, we are still implementing steps of safety.

• Masks are optional for students and parents.

• If you are sick, please stay home. This includes fever over 99.9 degrees, diarrhea, and vomiting. All ailments must be gone for 24 hours or more without the use of medication to attend class.

• Although the lobby is open, we would love for the parents to wait in their cars. This way our lobbies can remain open and not overly crowded.

• All students will enter class through the front door at the beginning of their class-time and exit class through the back door 3-4 minutes til the end of class. For ex. my student takes class from 4p-4:45p. My child will enter the classroom at 4p, when the teacher invites them in and they will exit out the backdoor at 4:42p. All parents should be waiting outside their car at the back door to pick up your child 5 min. till. We will NOT allow students to walk to your car in the parking lot or exit out the front door as we are making sure our lobbies do not get overly crowded.

• No food will be allowed in the studio. Water bottles with fully closed tops are allowed for older students only.
